In its H1 2017 financials, Dangote Cement grew revenue by 41% to N413bn. Cost of sales was up by 28% resulting in a 54% rise in gross profit to N235bn. Improved operating income translated to a 25% increase in pre-tax profit to N156bn, while after-tax income rose by 39% to N144bn.
Total assets as shown on the group's balance sheet grew by 7% to N1.6trn, while financial liabilities dipped by 17%. Total assets grew by 12% leading to a 3% rise in net assets to N823bn. See details below.
